The Lone Cow of Pittsburgh:
A cold wind comes howling across the great plains of Pittsburgh
A hoot owl is calling from a trainyard alone
A figure in the shadows with multiple stomachs
The lone cow of Pittsburgh is so far from home
Born in the starlight just east of El Paso
Swatting down flies in the hot Texas sun
Treated like cattle, she grew up so lonely
And always in fear of the cattleman's gun
So via con dios
My cow non poquito
Muy grande
Muy, mooey
She got her chance, she found a hole in the
fence
She headed up north vowing not to come back
The men never found her, they said she's a goner
But she wound up in Pittsburgh by the old railroad tracks
So via con dios
My cow non poquito
Muy grande
Muy, mooey
So a cold wind comes howling across the great
plains of Pittsburgh
And a hoot owl is calling from a trainyard alone
And a figure in the shadows, moonlight on leather
The lone cow of Pittsburgh is so far from home
