INTERVIEW PAGE 3

LISA: Its interesting. It felt like, at least to me, that because I came into the rehearsals so late that I didn't really know anybody anyway except for who I knew and did like from out side of Bulkhead. I knew Greg and Regina but I didn't know anybody else. And then the weekend went on and I got to know people then we would go inside the room and someone would start acting like a jerk. We all had the same names as our regular life and I got loopy because of lack of sleep. I don't know about you but I assume with a 9 to 5 job, you're not used to staying up.

TORREY: I wasn't cause we had to be down there at 5 and I left work around 3 o'clock and drove down to Wilmington. I'm accustomed to get up and go because I've been doing it for twenty some years but it was very demanding. It was a long day. Now had it been scripted where we wasn't exactly stuck in a tube. I'm just being honest. I'm not going to sugar coat anything. I'm not down playing the experience. It was a different experience. That's life. In this industry you're going to always come across different areas of entertainment, different forms of entertainment. Now it probably would have been better if it had been scripted and if we were able to get around the whole boat. I think that would have been a lot better. That way I would have a better story and I could create a better back story for my character and not just improve. But ya know, granted when you do plays or films or what not, you're gonna forget lines and you're gonna improv but having the whole film to improv….that's, ya know, you're going to forget some things you said. It might have been really good but you done forgot it because its just flying off the top of your head.

L: Did you have any trouble with the shooting schedule in that Friday was such a long day? I assume you didn't get to sleep until 5:30 (AM) or so on Saturday. You had probably been up 24 hours.

T: That was tough but I remember when I did extra work on "Summer Catch", this movie that was shot in Southport and I drove there from my job and it was a night shoot. I left my job at about 3 (PM) to drive down to Wilmington to get there at 6 (PM) and I didn't leave there until like 6 that morning to go back to work. SO I was used to that. Ya know, its hard. God, it was hard. At the end of the day I wanted to flop down on the bed. Some people wanted to go out drinking and have a good time but I just wanted some time to myself.

L: I had trouble staying awake. I had had such a day.

T: It hurts. It really hurts.

L: You must have gotten some sleep though Saturday morning.

T: I tried to get some sleep and in the end I felt that…. I hate to say I was getting ticked off or weird being in the tube so long. Cause the director and producer behind the scenes you feel like they got it easy but I'm sure they had a hard day. They're pushin us to get the best work out of us and there was times when I thought that was very evil to some people. What do you expect, you put like ten people in..

L: Twelve.

T: Twelve people into a container like sardines and it was getting rough. Tempers flared between everyone and there was a great scene..and this was improv, where it was me and Sam. Now Sam is a great guy. I like Sam and its like there was a part where we improved us fighting. Now we was not trying to kill each other or something. It wasn't planned.

L: It was a cockfight.

T: It was a cockfight and we felt like maybe we can do this at the end. What would people do if they was stuck in this situation. Wouldn't they go crazy? Wouldn't they want to fight someone? Yes they would.

L: I have to admit that I had some resentment toward the crew until I think it was the second night when I had lost all bearing of schedule and we went in there by ourselves and did the covered scenes or what ever those were, when we were the only ones in the room and we had to go to the far door by the lipstick cam and open the door and walk into the light. That was the first time I was where they were sitting, which was this hideous, drippy, dark room.
